Visitors are welcome at one of the biggest tulip gardens in the world!
Keukenhof, one of the world's largest tulip gardens located in the Netherlands, has opened its doors to tourists once again. This renowned garden attracts numerous photographers and flower enthusiasts every year. Inspired by the Keukenhof Castle, the park boasts an impressive collection of nearly all tulip varieties. As tulips have a short lifespan, the garden is only accessible from March 23 to May 14, with mid-April being the peak blooming period for tulips.
This year, 7 million flowers, including over 1,600 different types, primarily tulips, were meticulously planted by 40 dedicated gardeners at Keukenhof. The park features a 15-kilometer hiking trail and hosts various exhibitions. Surprisingly, approximately 80% of the garden's visitors come from outside the Netherlands, with Germans, British, Chinese, and Americans being the most frequent international guests.
Within this magnificent garden, tulips are named after famous painters like Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Andre Kuipers, as well as notable figures such as Bach, Beethoven, Einstein, Kant, Marx, and Goethe. Keukenhof places great importance on celebrating culture alongside the beauty of nature.
Each year, the Netherlands plants more than 4 billion tulips, with nearly half of them being exported worldwide. As spring unfolds, countless fields and gardens around the globe are gradually painted with vibrant colors as flowers bloom, creating a stunning spectacle that lasts until summer.
